ZamiPet High Strength Probiotics+ is a powdered probiotic for dogs, packed in single-serve 1.2g sachets. It comes in two formulas, named by ZamiPet as Gut Protect and Relax & Calm. Both share the same format, serve size and price; the difference is the strain profile, listed in full below, so you can choose by what is in the sachet.

Gut Protect carries seven probiotic strains: Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Bifidobacterium animalis ssp. lactis, Bifidobacterium longum, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Saccharomyces cerevisiae ssp. boulardii and Enterococcus faecium, with Lactobacillus paracasei as the postbiotic. Relax & Calm carries four: Lactobacillus plantarum, Bifidobacterium longum, Lactobacillus helveticus and Lactobacillus rhamnosus, with Lactobacillus acidophilus as the postbiotic. Each sachet of either formula provides 2 billion CFU of probiotics and 0.2 billion postbiotic cells, with inulin as the prebiotic fibre, plus glycine and silica. ZamiPet manufactures the range in Australia.

The powder is unflavoured and the serve is small, so it mixes into wet food or sits on top of kibble without most dogs noticing. The label directions are one sachet a day with a meal, for dogs of all sizes, and it is suitable for puppies from 8 weeks. Because each dose is sealed in its own sachet rather than scooped from a tub, the contents are not exposed to moisture until the day they are fed. A box of 30 lasts one dog a month.
