Virbac – EpiOtic SIS Ear Cleanser for Dogs

EpiOtic SIS is Virbac's ear cleanser for dogs, sold in a nozzle bottle so the solution goes directly into the ear canal. The three bottle sizes suit occasional use through to regular cleaning for dogs that swim or are bathed often.

The solution contains disodium EDTA and salicylic acid in a pH-balanced base. It is registered with the APVMA for use in dogs, and the uses below are those Virbac states for it. Virbac recommends a veterinary examination of the ears before you start using it, and notes it can also be used after swimming or bathing.

Directions

A veterinary examination to assess the ears and general health of the dog is recommended before use. Aim the tip of the bottle into the ear canal and squeeze to apply the solution. Apply up to twice daily or as directed by a veterinarian.

Precautions and storage

The use of EpiOtic SIS in dogs with perforated eardrums has not been evaluated; if you are unsure, ask your vet first. Store in a dry place at room temperature with the seal tightly closed. Always read the label before use.

Head shaking, scratching, redness, discharge or a strong smell from the ear needs a vet check.
