ZamiPet Joint Protect is a daily chew for adult dogs, built around four ingredients commonly used in joint supplements: glucosamine hydrochloride, chondroitin sulphate, MSM and hyaluronic acid. It is a soft, chicken-based chew rather than a tablet or powder, so most dogs take it as a treat, and each chew can be broken into segments for smaller dogs.

The base is Australian-sourced chicken meal and rice. Glucosamine hydrochloride and chondroitin sulphate sit third and fourth on the ingredient list, followed by gelatine and glycerol, with MSM, hyaluronic acid and a vitamin and mineral blend further down. ZamiPet manufactures the range in Australia. Typical composition is protein 30%, fat 3.6%, fibre under 0.1%, salt 3.5%, and 60 kJ per 5g chew.

The chews are fed daily following the weight-based guide on the label, which sets a higher starting serve for the first four to six weeks and a lower ongoing serve after that. Store below 30°C, out of direct sunlight and away from moisture, with the lid closed tightly.

Feeding guide

Feed daily as per the label, or as recommended by your animal health professional. One chew is approximately 5g.

• Up to 9kg: ½ chew per day
• 10–25kg: 2 chews per day for the first 4–6 weeks, then 1 chew per day
• 26–45kg: 3 chews per day for the first 4–6 weeks, then 2 chews per day
• Over 45kg: 4 chews per day for the first 4–6 weeks, then 3 chews per day
