PERNAFlex Powder is a marine powder from animal health company Mavlab. It was previously sold as Pernaease Powder; the name and pack have changed, and the formula has not. It suits owners who want a single daily serve over food rather than a chew.

The powder is made from three freeze-dried marine concentrates: green lipped mussel makes up 60% of the blend, with marine cartilage and abalone at 20% each. Mavlab states the powder contains no preservatives or added flavouring. These marine ingredients provide naturally occurring glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) and omega-3 fatty acids.

The powder is given once a day, sprinkled on or mixed into the meal, at the rate for your dog's weight in the guide below. At the 11–20kg rate of 1.7g a day, a 250g tub lasts around 145 days.

• Under 5kg: 1.0g (¼ measure)
• 6–10kg: 1.2g (⅓ measure)
• 11–20kg: 1.7g (½ measure)

• 31–40kg: 2.8g (¾ measure)
• 41–50kg: 3.4g (1 measure)
